National Civil War Museum

The second day’s trip started with a visit to the National Civil War Museum. It was a good opportunity to experience and explore one of the most troubled chapters in American history.

It was fascinating learning about the leaders that emerged out of The American Civil War.

The PA Capitol Complex is also an important historic building in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Yesterday’s glory still can be seen from the interior of the building.

Free tour offered every half-hour from Mon-Fri between 8:30 am-4 pm; Sat-Sun & most holidays tours are offered at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm (it is always recommended to call ahead to check tour availability.)


 The Mill restaurant in Hershey

Open for lunch and dinner, The Mill in Hershey is a brick building landmark in Hershey. This historic building not only boasts an authentic 1800's atmosphere, but also a slew of fresh and seasonal foods- sure to delight any palette. 

After a day of fascinating historical lectures, it was time to relax and have some lunch.
